For much of my life, I have lived at the vibrant intersection of service, technology, curiosity, and change.

My story was profoundly shaped by the United States Air Force. My years in uniform instilled in me a deep commitment to responsibility, discipline, teamwork, and mission completion, especially under adverse conditions. Though I have since retired from active military service, those core principles continue to guide me. I transitioned into a new chapter as a federal civilian, applying decades of experience and perspective to critical work in national defense, testing, evaluation, and capability development for our modern service members.

Technology has been another lifelong constant. I was captivated by computers long before they became ubiquitous in daily life. Over the years, that fascination broadened to encompass computer networks, digital storage, communications, home automation, security systems, and the intricate challenge of integrating complex technologies. I take pride in building systems, troubleshooting them when they inevitably resist, and mastering new concepts along the way.

Radio has been a parallel and enduring passion. There is an enduring magic in sitting at a receiver, adjusting a dial, and pulling in a signal that has traversed continents and oceans through the atmosphere. Shortwave listening, amateur radio, scanners, antennas, and communications technology bridge modern electronics with a timeless wonder: hearing the world beyond the horizon.

Life, I have learned, rarely adheres to a straight line. Careers evolve, technologies shift, relationships transform, and entirely new chapters emerge when we least expect them. These transitions have forged a deep appreciation for resilience, perspective, and the necessity of pressing forward rather than being constrained by the past.

Today, I remain an active student of my passions. I experiment, research, build, listen, question, fix, occasionally break things in the pursuit of improvement, and painstakingly put them back together. I value experience, but I firmly believe it should never quench curiosity.

This website serves as a repository for those interests, experiences, projects, and observations. Some pages reflect on where I have been, others document my current endeavors, and a few capture my ongoing curiosity about what lies ahead.

If a single thread connects it all, it is simply this: I have never been very good at leaving things unexplored.
